Crisis response to women and their children who have been victims of violence. Includes temporary shelter with a trained and supervised volunteer. Transportation available to the Trail or Nelson Transition Houses. Information, referrals, advocacy and accompaniment to related appointments. Earth Matters
The Fruit Tree Project.
Earth matters connects those who have too much fruit on their trees with people who want fruit. A portion of the picked fruit goes to the owners (if they want it), a portion goes to a food bank or The Women's Centre and the pickers get the rest.Earth Matters also holds a canning bee where knowledge is shared and lots of canning is done. Everyone goes home with 10-15 jars of goodies from the harvest.

Community Kitchen
A small group of people cook 3 to 4 nutritious meals that are taken home at a cost of $2.00 per family member. The group meets once a month in a local kitchen facility to cook together, exchange recipes and develop new food preparation skills. Group meets on the first Thursday of the month.
