West Kootenay and Boundary Aboriginal Programs and Services

In creating this website, our intent is to provide a website that informs readers of the range of programs and services available as well as embraces the Aboriginal culture in all its many forms.

We will provide current information about health and social programs throughout the West Kootenay, and will provide links for further information.

We have identified the programs that are delivered to Aboriginal people specifically and/or the programs that are delivered in ways that are culturally relevant to Aboriginal people. Resources and services that are marked with a turtle symbolize cultural support within these programs and services.

As well, we plan to provide space for Aboriginal businesses to promote their services throughout the region.

We are also including cultural information such as traditional recipes, photographs and information about local events to participate in.

Please note that this website is intended to be used in addition to the online Community Service Directory developed by Trail FAIR (www.trailfair.ca). If you are looking for information about community services and don’t see it on this website, be sure to check this online directory.
